October is recognized as National Cooperative Month.

The farmer-owned Landus Cooperative recently launched a new video to highlight the cycle of how a product is produced. Communications Director Alicia Heun says the video goes through the life cycle of a soybean from the time it is put into the ground by a farmer to being processed into their newest product, SoyPlus in Ralston, then into healthy milk that is consumed by the farmer.

“There’s a lot of decisions to be made and tough decisions to be made in agriculture right now. But if you really stop and think that we are truly feeding the world, that has to instill a little bit of pride. We just want to celebrate that pride and what it means to be an Iowa farmer, a Minnesota farmer, an American farmer, a member of Landus Cooperative.”
