It’s a three-peat for the Nodaway Valley boys cross country team. The Wolverines, the Iowa Association of Track Coaches No. 1 team in Class 1A, ended their season in Fort Dodge Saturday in the 2017 Iowa State Cross Country meet. Nodaway Valley won their third straight Class 1A title with a low score of 26 points.

Senior Brycen Wallace capped off his high school cross country career with a third place overall finish at 16:23. Wallace was the Wolverines only all-state runner. Other finishers for Nodaway Valley include Skylar Rawlings 11th (16:41), Joshua Baudler 17th (16:53), Tyler Breheny 19th (17:00), and Ben Breheny 59th (17:44).

Nodaway Valley becomes the 21st school in state history to win three straight cross country championships.
