Two seniors on the Adel-Desoto-Minburn (ADM) Tigers volleyball team (23-12 overall) were standouts this fall according to the coaches of the Raccoon River Conference.ADM head volleyball coach Mary Beth Scott informed Raccoon Valley Radio of the Tigers named to this year’s all-conference squad; the coaches unanimously selected outside hitter Sami Schepers and libero Jordan Hook to the first team squad.

Schepers was one of three conference volleyball players with more than 350 kills this fall, recording a career-best 353. Scott says Scheper’s had the fifth most kills produced in a season in school history. She recorded 20 or more kills in four matches this fall, including both of her team’s postseason contests. Schepers posted a season-best 27 kills in her final high school match against Glenwood on October 24.

Coach Scott says the team’s other first-team all-conference selection had a great season defensively. “Jordan Hook ended up number two in our record book with 399 digs for 2017,” Scott said, “Jordan Hook actually holds the number one spot from back in 2015 when she had 437 digs.” Hook’s 399 digs are the third most recorded in the Raccoon River Conference this season.

Listen to the Raccoon Valley Radio local sports page tomorrow for ADM’s second team and honorable mention selections from this past volleyball season.
