An Adel-DeSoto-Minburn graduate was elected National FFA Secretary at the recent National Convention and Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Erica Baier of Adel, who is a 2015 graduate from ADM, is currently studying agriculture education at Iowa State University. She was selected to the National FFA Officer Team from a pool of more than 40 candidates. The selection process included tests of their ability in workshop facilitation and communication skills, as well as a personal interview. Throughout the coming year, Baier and the other officers will travel around the country to work with businesses, other FFA members and teachers, sponsors, and government officials.

Baier is no stranger to holding an FFA office, as she was elected the South Central Vice President for the Iowa FFA Officer Team in her senior year at ADM.
