Yesterday the Raccoon Valley Radio Network released the unanimous first team all-conference selections for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers volleyball team (23-12). We continue today by announcing the ADM players named to the Raccoon River Conference second team as well as the Tiger’s honorable mention selections.

Senior Amy Gottschalk represents ADM on the conference’s second team squad. Gottschalk closed her high school career as the Raccoon River Conference leader in aces with 54. She also ranks in the top 10 in Class 4A in aces entering next weeks state tournament. Gottschalk’s 58 blocks were the most recorded by any ADM player and ranked third overall in the RRC. Her 156 kills were the second-most recorded by an ADM player this fall.

Senior Ellie Mueller and sophomore Josi Lonneman are ADM’s honorable mention volleyball selections. Mueller recorded the second most digs for ADM at 213, and her 29 aces were the fourth most on the squad. Lonneman’s 143 kills were the third most for ADM.

The Tigers volleyball team ended their season in Glenwood October 26 in the semifinal round of the Class 4A Region 2 tournament. ADM lost to Glenwood in five sets (23-25, 25-18, 25-22, 14-25, 12-15), finishing the season with a 23-12 overall record. The Tigers lose six seniors to graduation.
