Today could be the final home football game in the collegiate career of Adel-Desoto-Minburn graduate Jordan Grove. Grove is one of 23 seniors on this year’s Northwest Missouri State University Bearcat football team (8-1). Northwest Missouri State hosts No. 6 Fort Hays State University Tigers (9-0) in the school’s senior day football game. The No. 8 Bearcats, the two-time defending Division II football champions, had their 38 game winning streak snapped last week at Pittsburg State University (KS), 20-10. It was the first loss since for the Bearcats since losing to Minnesota Duluth in the first round of the 2014 Division II football playoffs during Grove’s redshirt freshman football season.
Grove’s produced 678 all-purpose yards this fall for the Bearcats. He’s been the most impactful in the passing game, hauling in 36 receptions for 380 yards and three touchdowns. He’s also rushed the ball 48 times for 192 yards and one touchdown and has collected 106 kick return yards on seven returns.
Today’s game between No. 8 Northwest Missouri State Bearcats and the No. 6 Fort Hays State Tigers kicks off at 1:30 p.m. at Bearcat Stadium in Maryville.
