Saturday, November 11th is Veterans Day. This is a day to commemorate the sacrifices the bravest and finest individuals in this country have exhibited to keep our nation free and prosperous. To show their support, students in the Panorama School District created a “Freedom Wall” display near the front office. The display features student’s responses to the question “What does freedom mean to you?”

U.S Congressman David Young of Iowa’s 3rd Congressional District sums up the importance of not just Veterans Day, but also a citizen’s yearly duty towards those who have served. “It’s a special day, but every day we should be thanking our Veterans for what they’ve done for us; giving us these liberties and freedoms. We should not take them for granted because freedom is not free.”

The community is encouraged to view the display on Wednesday, November 8th and Thursday, November 9th from 3:30-7:30 pm.  The Panorama Student Council also encourages the community to write their messages of support on the paper provided, which will be added to the display.
