Dallas Co Supervisors 10-17

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will convene twice this week, in both regular and special sessions.

The regular session will be Tuesday morning and will start with a possible closed session regarding the purchase of particular real estate. When they reconvene they will canvass the results from the recent city election. The canvass will be followed by a space needs workshop for all county departments. At 10 a.m. they will hold a public hearing for the second reading for the ordinance on pioneer cemeteries.

Next, the Supervisors will consider items relating to the new law enforcement center, including an agreement for fiber installation. Additionally they will consider resolutions appointing Bankers Trust as the paying agent, note registrar, and transfer agent for $8.2 million in general obligation capital loan notes and $1.6 million in refunding capital loan notes. Finally, the Board will review an appropriation amendment for the 2018 fiscal year, and a request to abate mobile home taxes.

In addition to the regular meeting, the Supervisors will convene in a special session Thursday morning to canvass the election results for the countywide local option sales and services tax measure. Both meetings are open to the public and will be held at 9 a.m. on their respective days in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in Adel.
