The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Board met Wednesday in regular session.
The Board continued discussions about next year’s 20th anniversary celebration of the Greene County Community Center. JPRD Director Vicky Lautner said they received one donation for the event and thought they could recognize the former members of the People Active in County Exercise (PACE) organization at the celebration.
The Board then approved the proposed 2018 fiscal year budget to the City, as recommended by the Board’s budget committee. Lautner noted she is still waiting for cost estimates to come into redo the concrete of the floors at the municipal swimming pool. She also received two quotes of $55,000 and $60,000 to redo the gymnasium floor.
The Board also approved the 2018 wish list for the Hess fund for a new treadmill, a leg extension and curling machine, and a recumbent stepper for $14,547. Additionally, the Board reappointed Steve Haupert and Lee Horbach to three-year terms, and elected Mary Pedersen and Doug Meinecke as the 2018 board president and vice-president, respectively.
