Thanksgiving is coming up Thursday and several offices and businesses will be closed in Jefferson.

The Greene County Courthouse, Jefferson City Hall, Jefferson Public Library, Greene County Extension office, Greene County Community Center, Greene County Chamber and Jefferson Post Office will be closed Thursday. Additionally, the Jefferson Library will close early on Wednesday at 6pm. Jefferson City Hall, the courthouse and Extension office will remain closed on Friday.

The Jefferson Library staff reminds everyone that nothing is due to the library when it is closed for a holiday.

Garbage routes in Jefferson will change slightly due to the holiday. Thursday’s routes will be picked up on Wednesday and there will be no garbage pick ups Friday. Routes will go back to normal schedules next week.
