A new organization is looking to host an inaugural event to support local teachers.

The Building Opportunities and Optimism for our Students and Teachers (BOOST) is a completely community-driven organization that supports the students and teachers of the Greene County School District. BOOST works directly with teachers to identify high impact projects and create teacher grant opportunities for supplies and other needs.

They are hosting a “BOOST Bash” on March 24th at Wild Rose Casino and Resorts in Jefferson. The event includes: a social time, dinner, celebration of the school district, recognition of positive things happening in the schools and a live and silent auction. Tickets are now available for the event for $25 and can be purchased on their website by clicking the link below. Checks can also be mailed to: Greene County Schools BOOST, P.O. Box 4 in Jefferson. Checks can be made payable to Greene County Educational Foundation, with BOOST in the memo line.
