Small businesses across the country got a chance to showcase their products and services with the increasingly popular Small Business Saturday last weekend. While this is an excellent opportunity for these small businesses to gain some consumer exposure, non-profit organizations are also benefitting from the weekend.
A few of these non-profits set up their booths at Panora’s 40th Annual Holiday Boutique Craft Show at the Veterans Gymnasium and Community Center. Joyce Bahrke represented Follow Hard Ministries. Although the women’s retreat center is based out of Winterset, Bahrke tells Raccoon Valley Radio that several women from Guthrie County have benefited from this service. Bahrke, a Panora resident, talks about the impact this event has on the community. “It’s a good way to bring your community into the area and see lots of products in one small area.”
Women For Panora’s Future was also there to promote their organization, particularly the Holiday Home Tour this Sunday, December 3rd. WFPF representative Debbie Rockwell thanked show organizer Brandi Rockwell for setting up this event. “It’s just her way of giving back to the community and to help support our events.
Tori’s Angels’ and a few other non-profits also had space to promote their organization.
