Winterset and Carroll were high school wrestling winners over Greene County last night in the middle school gym in Jefferson in the first home action of the season for Coach Mark Sawhill’s Rams. The Huskies were 51-18 winners over the Rams and Carroll won over Greene County 48-29. Winterset was a 59-21 winner over Carroll in the other dual meet.

Greene County won four matches vs. the Huskies and five vs. the Tigers. Clint Dennhardt (182) was 2-0 on the night with a forfeit and a technical fall. Brady Stauffer was also 2-0 with a 4-2 decision and a forfeit. Bryce Hoyle had a win by fall vs. Winterset and Colby Kafer won by 7-2 decision vs. the Huskies. Will Hansen won by fall vs. Carroll and the other wins vs. the Tigers were forfeits collected by Garrett Tasler and Chance McCollom.

Overall, the Rams were 9-19 in the two dual meets.

Next up for Greene County is the Dallas Center-Grimes tournament tomorrow west of Grimes.
