springbrook-state-parkThe unseasonably warm weather in Guthrie County this late in the year is putting hikers in high spirits. Springbrook State Park will be hosting a Blizzard Free Hike this Sunday from 1-4pm to take advantage of the ideal conditions.

The park chose this theme for the event in celebration of entering December, “blizzard/snow-free.” The hike will be about 2-3 miles long and will feature stops at the old Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp and Conservation Education Center (CEC). The route can be modified for those who wish to enjoy a shorter distance, as there will be plenty of exits along the loop. The hike will begin at the Campground Gazebo.
