The first holiday school concerts begin tonight in Adair and Panora. However, this last weekend was all about the dancers. All three area high schools performed well at the 2018 Iowa State Dance and Drill Team Association (ISDTA) Team Championships at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.

Panorama High School individuals have won the Class II title at the State Solo competition the past four years. The Panther Dance Teams also showed they can perform well at the team level with two second place finishes. Panorama finished second in Class I Lyrical and Class II Jazz with a “I” rating in both categories. West Central Valley placed ninth in Class I Lyrical and second in Class I Contemporary. The Wildcats received a “II” rating in the Lyrical category and a “I” rating in the Contemporary category.

Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center also had two placements. The Chargers placed tenth in Class III Hip Hop and eleventh in Class VI Pom. The Chargers received a “II” rating in Hip Hop and a “I” rating in Pom.
