The ACGC wrestlers came into dual action at Southeast Valley on an impressive 4-1 record overall and featuring three 10-1 individual wrestlers. The Chargers hit a little bump in the road as they lost to both Panorama and Southeast Valley in Thursday’s quadrangular.
The Panthers defeated the Chargers 61-18. While Easton Benson didn’t wrestle, the Chargers continued their winning ways at the particular weight class (126), as Joseph Davis won by fall (3:47) over Wyatt Clark. Seth Brokaw also defeated Jacob Holwegner by fall (3:32). Cale Rowley picked up the other win by forfeit.
The Chargers were also unable to get past Southeast Valley, falling 22-47. Seth Danker, Blaine Beeler, Brokaw, and Devon Jackson all recorded wins in the dual. The Chargers did pick up a close victory over the Ogden bulldogs. Danker, Rowley, Davis, Blaine Beeler, Zachary Fees, Gabe Rowley and Jackson all won their matches.
The Chargers now sit at 5-3 on the season in dual action. The ACGC wrestlers will host their home invitational Saturday with first grapples starting around 10 am.
