Panorama FFA students placed well in several categories at this week’s sub-district contest. The chapter advanced eight out of eleven events to the district contest in March.
The following five students placed first in their categories: Madi Mae Fear for ag broadcasting, Maisie Knapp for ag sales, Kennedy Andersen for extemporaneous speaking, Trevor Carey for oxy-acetylene welding, and Preston Prince for arc/wire welding. Hope Arganbright also placed second individually in public speaking. Two teams will also be advancing to the district competition. The Parliamentary Procedure team placed second, while the Conduct of Meetings team placed third.
One student and team have also been listed as alternates. Paul Hansen placed fifth in creed speaking and the Chapter Program team placed fourth. Finally, Kaleb Randel received a silver medal in the non-advancing job interview contest. Overall, this is the best Panorama has ever done at sub-districts.
