moneyThey say nothing is certain in life except death and taxes. American legislators certainly have the later on their mind as they try to tackle tax reform.

U.S. Congressional Representative, David Young says it is important to make sure the legislators look over the bill with a fine-tooth comb. “I think we just need to make sure we get the policy right, because I don’t want to be back here in three months or three years trying to fix a mistake because we rushed this through without looking at all the consequences.”

Young also listed tax relief as a priority and one of his main goals in Congress. Young believes this will allow all Iowans more financial freedom. “We have to make sure that we trust Iowans and the American people to spend more of their hard earned dollars on the things that they see that they need, not what Washington D.C. thinks they need.”

Both chambers are expected to vote on the bill by the end of the week, with President Donald Trump hoping to sign tax reform legislation by Christmas.
