ADM Tigers

A junior on the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers girls basketball team (3-7 overall) was one of the Raccoon River Conference’s top three-point shooter so far this winter. Ten games into the season and Emma Jacobsen has made 22 three-point baskets in 79 shot attempts, far more than anyone else on the Tigers girls basketball team. Sophomore Abbie Hlas is the Tigers next best three-point shooter, making five of her 27 attempts. Jacobsen only trails Perry sophomore Molly Lutmer in three-point baskets made. Lutmer saw 26 three-point shots go through the net in 11 games before winter break.

Jacobsen’s first-half output included making a school record five three-pointers in one game on the road against the Carroll Tigers (1-6 overall). She finished the game with a career-best 21 points in the 58-43 victory. Jacobsen told Raccoon Valley Radio during preseason practice that a personal goal of her’s is to break her older sister, Molly Jacobsen’s, single-season record for most three-pointers made at 43. If she stays at her current pace, Emma Jacobsen could break her sister’s mark sometime in February.

The ADM girls basketball team resumes their season on Friday, January 5, hosting the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays in their first of two Raccoon River Conference matchups.
