The ACGC wrestlers got back into gear yesterday morning for the first practice since the end of the first semester. As far as the first half of the season is concerned, the squad got off to a good start, winning four of the first five duals. However, due to injuries and a lack of wrestlers to fill some of the higher weight classes, the Chargers have stumbled to a 6-10 record in duals this season.
As far as individual competition is concerned, the Charger wrestlers are performing exceptionally well in the lower classes. Before battling the injury bug, junior Easton Benson started off the year with the team’s best record at 10-1. Seth Danker, Blaine Beeler, and Zach Fees also have sixteen wins each for ACGC. The Chargers next hit the mats in Coon Rapids for the CRB Invitational on Saturday, January 6th.
