The second half of the West Central Activities Conference season began in Urbandale Tuesday night for the Panorama girls basketball team (12-1 overall). The Panthers, Class 2A’s No. 6 ranked squad, paid a visit to Des Moines Chrisitan High School for the second league meeting of the season with the Lions. Panorama, who won the first meeting 58-20, completed the season sweep of the Lions with a 50-41 victory. The Panthers were led in scoring by junior Baliey Beckman with 18 points, while senior Morgan Johnk added 14. The win is the 11th straight for Panorama and the 34th overall since the start of the 2016-17 season. The Panthers resume their season Friday in Stuart, battling the West Central Valley Wildcats (5-6 overall) in a county and conference rivalry game.
