The Perry Chamber of Commerce held their first event of 2018 yesterday with their monthly Chamber Coffee.
The event was held at the Perry Lutheran Home, which gave a presentation to attendees. The topics they covered included the success of the Acorns and Oaks Daycare and the Music and Memory program, as well as the next Meals for the Heartland event. They also announced their first annual “A Run Through Time” 5K coming later this year. Chamber Board President Emily Leslie then gave a brief update on what’s been going on and what’s coming up for the Chamber, including the winter farmers market and Chocolate Walk.
The monthly Chamber Coffees are held the second Friday of every month, and at a different location each time. Leslie says they’re a great way to network with other professionals in the community, while also learning about what’s going on around town. They are free and open to the public, and refreshments are provided.
