Governor Kim Reynolds gave her first Condition of the State address last Tuesday. A local legislator is giving the address high remarks.

District 20 Representative Clel Baudler, who represents Guthrie and Adair counties, thoroughly enjoyed the speech.  “This is my 20th State (Condition) of the State speech that I’ve heard. (It was) by far the best one ever. Gov. Reynolds spoke on several issues that she hit on, and she hit really hard. She talked about ‘If people want to succeed in Iowa, with hard work and perseverance, they can’”.

Reynolds discussed several topics, including: water quality, strengthening small businesses, the “Me Too” and “Time’s Up” movements, combating opioid addiction, educational funding, and tax reform.
