Don’t forget, this Sunday the Perry Fine Arts Committee will be presenting their first concert of 2018.

The mariachi band “Trio de Colores” will perform at the Perry High School Performing Arts Center starting at 2 p.m. Fine Arts Committee member Cathy Clark says the three talented musicians will play well-known favorites from Mexico, as well as a few lesser-known Native American tunes. Clark says the goal of the group is to showcase the diversity of Mexican music and its impact on their culture. “It sounds really, really exciting, and a really wide variety of traditional Mexican music. And it surprised me that it said Native American tunes, so I’m really excited to hear the wide variety of music. Hope you can come and be with us!”

There is no cost to attend the concert, though free-will donations will be accepted. All proceeds will go to the Fine Arts Committee for future concerts. To learn more about this and other upcoming events, listen to today’s Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program at RaccoonValleyRadio.com.
