WCV (1)On Wednesday the West Central Valley School Board officially approved Lance Ridgely as the next Superintendent. Current Superintendent Dr. David Arnold is pleased that Ridgely will be taking over once he retires at the end of June.

Now that the selection process has ended, Arnold describes the transitional process. “We talked quite a bit and will be meeting from time to time to make the transition smooth. My goal is to make sure that when I leave the district is in good hands. He is in my opinion an outstanding educator. I think he’s going to be good for the district. I just want to make sure when I leave he’s got everything he needs and it’s ready to roll.”

Ridgely currently serves as the Superintendent and Athletic Director at East Union Community School District. He tells the district he hopes to foster a spirit of excellence in the classroom, in the arts, and in the arena. Ridgely will officially become the superintendent on July 1st.
