The Guthrie County Cattlemen’s Association is getting ready for a big celebration. This year GCCA will be celebrating 50-years during their annual banquet on Saturday.
President, Cale Kastner, commented on a recent moment he and the rest of the organization will cherish for a long time. “These past couple of years especially have been exciting. We’ve built a new building at the fairgrounds for the 4-H beef projects. That came to life last year after past presidents and directors have been planning it and working towards it for 20-some years. That’s really exciting.”
Kastner also commented on the sheer amount of technology used in raising cattle. Kastner specifically mentioned the ability to see auctions online and to get updates on Facebook and other social media platforms. To hear more from Kastner on his thoughts regarding the last 50 years, as well as the upcoming banquet, listen to today’s Let’s Talk Guthrie County program.
