The final regular season homestand of the winter began last night for the West Central Valley basketball teams. The Wildcats welcomed the Van Meter Bulldogs to Stuart for a league doubleheader. Van Meter returned to Dallas County with a conference sweep of West Central Valley, winning the girls game 54-42 and the boys game 100-38. The Wildcat girls basketball team was led by senior Grace Dupuy with 17 points while sophomore Sydney Neal added 13. Junior Brice Seachrist poured in 10 points to lead the WCV boys basketball team. The loss drops the West Central Valley girls basketball team to 7-9 overall and the boy’s basketball team to 2-14 overall. The Wildcats resume their season Thursday in a nonconference doubleheader against the CAM Cougars in Stuart.
