With 2018 well underway, registered voters across the state are gearing up for another election year.
In Guthrie County, both registered Republicans and Democrats will hold the first caucuses of the year on Monday, February 5th. At the meetings, each party will elect representatives to both the Guthrie County Central Committee and the County Conventions in March. Guthrie County is divided into eight colored precincts based on residential area.
For Republican voters, Precincts 2-4 (Blue, Brown, Gold) will meet at Panorama Elementary School. Precinct 1 (Black) will hold their meeting at AC/GC Middle School, Precinct 5 (Green) will be at the Yale Community Building, Precinct 6 (Purple) will be at West Central Valley High School, Precinct 7 (Red) will be at the Bayard Public Library, and Precinct 8 (White) will meet at the David Royer Residence in Coon Rapids.
For Democratic Party voters, Precincts 2-5, 7, and 8 will meet at the Guthrie Center High School Library, while Precincts 1 and 6 will meet in Room 100 at West Central Valley High School. Each meeting begins at 7pm and will include discussions on party platforms and agendas.
