ADM Tigers

Regular season high school basketball is quickly coming to an end in Iowa, and the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys and girls squads will embark on their final Raccoon River Conference road trip of the season tonight. The Tigers will visit Polk County this evening as the Bondurant-Farrar Bluejays welcome ADM to town for a league varsity doubleheader. The schools split the previous meeting in Adel on January 5; ADM took the girls contest, 49-24, while Bondurant-Farrar won the boy’s battle, 61-55.

The ADM girls basketball team (7-11 overall; 6-5 RRC) looks to return to the winning side of the ledger tonight after having a season-best three game winning streak snapped Tuesday against the Carroll Tigers, 52-47. ADM girls basketball coach Rick Dillinger told Raccoon Valley Radio after the game that his team left 47 points on the floor Tuesday, 32 points in point-blank layups and 15 free throws. The Tigers girls basketball team has three regular-season games remaining before the start of postseason play on February 14 at Winterset.

The ADM boys basketball team (3-13 overall; 0-11 RRC) will have to wait until next week before finding out their first postseason opponent. The Tigers are still searching for their first Raccoon River Conference win after their latest attempt resulted in a 72-50 setback Tuesday against Carroll in Adel. ADM has five total regular season games remaining, three inside the league and two nonconference games against Little Hawkeye Conference members Norwalk (15-2 overall) and Newton (10-6 overall).
