bayard water towerProm is usually a high school function, held during spring. However, the Bayard Fire Department is getting a head start on prom season with a night for the adults. Zane’s Dawg House restaurant is sponsoring the 1st Annual 2018 Adult Prom on Saturday, February 10th at the Bayard Community Building. The event starts at 7pm and all proceeds will benefit the Bayard Fire Department and Bayard Emergency Medical Services.

The event is for those 21 and over, as there will be a cash bar. There will also be various snacks, photo opportunities, and a silent auction. As for the dress code, the theme is “Rustic Romance,” but event committee member Brandon Patrick gives a few other options attendees might want to consider. “You can dress in your Sunday best or break out the old tweed suit. Even ‘Dumb and Dumber’ style blue and orange tuxedos would be great. Even bell bottoms to plaid is going to be accepted.”

There will also be an optional grand march at 8pm. Tickets are $15 per person or $25 per couple. For more information on the event, listen to today’s Let’s Talk Guthrie County program.
