A traditional bicycling event continues today between Perry and Rippey.
The annual Bike Ride to Rippey (BRR) happens today, starting at 10am.
As riders come up to Rippey, there will be several food and entertainment options to enjoy. The Rippey United Methodist Church youth group “True Heroes Under God” (THUG) is serving a baked potato bar at the church. Another food option is the Rippey Lions Club’s roast beef sundaes at the community center. President Nancy Hanaman says the sundae consists of mashed potatoes, gravy, roast beef and a cherry tomato for $6. They will also have chili for $5 and for $1 there will be dessert bars and beverages.
Additionally, the Rippey Fire Department will once again host the beer tent and serve walking tacos. The walking tacos are $5 and beer tickets are $3 each or 6 for $15. Plus, there will be a live DJ providing musical entertainment.
