The dual season came to an end for the Panorama Panther wrestling program (20-3) Tuesday night in the Class 1A Regional Dual tournament at Interstate 35 High School in Truro. The Panthers competed in the event featuring wrestlers from Interstate 35, Southeast Warren, and Wayne. Panorama advanced to the championship dual against host school Interstate 35, falling to the Roadrunners 35-33.

The Panthers began the regional dual tournament with a convincing victory over Wayne, 59-15. Panorama registered points on seven pinfalls, two decisions, a technical fall, and one forfeit. The Panthers recording wins by fall over Wayne include Wyatt Appleseth (132), Noah Kirtley (138), Garrett Fox (160), Gunnar Grunsted (170), Trevor Carey (182), Dalton Holmes (195), and Brady Howard (220).

Panorama and Interstate 35 each won seven matches in the championship dual with the Roadrunners edging the Panthers in bonus points. Panorama tallied points on two falls, two decisions, a technical fall, a major decision, and a forfeit. Interstate 35’s scoring came from three wins by fall, two major decisions, a decision, and one forfeit. Wyatt Clark (120) and Holmes (195) won their matches by pinfall against Interstate 35. Panorama closes their dual season at 20-3.

Seven Panther wrestlers will continue their season Saturday in the Class 1A District 1 tournament in Guthrie Center. Representing Panorama at the district tournament include Danny Nordquist (126), Appleseth (132), Kirtley (138), Emry Colby (145), Grunsted (170), Carey (182), and Holmes (195).
