An Adair man faces a felony charge relating to an incident earlier this month.

According to court documents, 26-year-old Cody Leon Zimmerline was charged with a Class D Felony for possessing contraband in a correctional facility. An Adair County Jailer found numerous small bags of marijuana and methamphetamine on Zimmerline as he was being booked into jail for a separate charge.

He was also charged with an aggravated misdemeanor for possession of a controlled substance, his second offense, and simple misdemeanors for violating a no-contact/protective order and possession of drug paraphernalia. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for this Thursday and he is being held on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
