The season came to an end Monday for the ACGC Boys Basketball team. While three seniors exited the program in the postseason opening round loss to Woodward-Granger, the top two three-point shooters are just sophomores. Their contributions helped the Charger boys improve their overall three-point accuracy by 5%.
The majority of the rise comes from Bryce Littler. Littler dropped just 16% of his three-point attempts through the basket in his freshman year. This year he successfully completed nearly 39% of his attempts from beyond the arc, making a record 37 in 22 games. Classmate Quynton Younker connected 25 times this season, second best for the team. Seven Charger boys made at least two three-pointers this season, including outgoing senior Collin Stowe, who made his first career three-pointer this season.
Caden Wardyn, Noah Nelsen, Quenton Spack, and Noah Sargent also posted career bests this season. The team’s finished sixth in three-point percentage (31.7%) and fifth in total made three’s (121) out of ten teams in the West Central Activities Conference.
