It was a tough regular season for the Perry Jayette basketball team.  Tonight, Perry looks to put that behind them as they travel to Bondurant for a 7:00 4A Regional opener against Bondurant Farrar.  The two teams split during the regular season with Perry winning just five days ago.

“I think our girls are excited and we will be ready to go,” said head coach Chris Morrow following the Jayettes win over the Lady Jays on Friday night.  “I know Bondurant didn’t have one of their guards due to illness tonight but I still thought they moved the ball well.  It comes down to our execution and the passion to play hard.”

Perry will rely on their backcourt in looking to secure the win tonight.  Both Molly Lutmer and Alyssa Kruger combined for eight 3-pointers in Friday night’s game.

The winner of tonight’s game will travel to Dallas Center Grimes Saturday.

Shawn Kenney will have the play by play on KDLS and raccoonvalleyradio.com starting at 6:45.
