Greene County has faced some good basketball teams this season, and at times, have played them close, but so far Coach Chris Nelson’s squad doesn’t have a victory over a top 10 ranked team. The Rams will get another chance for an upset when they meet number 10 Des Moines Christian on the Lions’ home court in Urbandale tomorrow night in a Class 2A District 15 semifinal on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Game time is approximately 8 p.m., following Woodward Academy meeting Woodward-Granger at 6:30 p.m.

The Lions are 19-2 while the Rams are 12-10. DMC is led in scoring by 6′ 1″ senior Isaac Prewitt, who averaged 21.3 points per game. The Lions are are 65.8 per game as a team.

The Rams are led in scoring by junior Trey Hinote at 16.5. Senior Wade Adcock is at 13.8 and senior Joe Towers averages 10.5. The Greene County team is scoring an average of 63 points per game.

The Rams advanced beyond the opening round of the postseason for the first time since 2012 with a first round win over Panorama on Monday night in Woodward by a 67-53 final.
