This Sunday through Wednesday, Crossroads Church in Perry will be hosting a program featuring one of the strongest men in the world.
Steve Carrier will bring his “Mega Force” program to the church and area schools, showcasing his unique combination of feats of strength and important life lessons. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio how he makes the connection between breaking baseball bats and his message of anti-bullying. “I talk about words are more powerful than a gun or a knife, because really you know bad words stick with you for a lifetime. Talk about building their character, not their biceps. So in the school assembly I implement my personal story, which I’ll be sharing at the church, about overcoming being crippled, stuttering, skinniest kid in my school, name calling, bullying. So that’s my heart, and really what motivates me to keep doing what I do. So I just apply my life story and what I’ve gone through or done. And share with the kids and challenge them, and do a few feats of strength. As you know, you do a lecture, kids don’t listen. You rip a phonebook, you just might get their attention!”
Mega Force is free to the public and will be held Sunday through Wednesday, with evening programs starting at 7 p.m. at Crossroads Church. Click the link below to listen to the Perry Fareway Let’s Talk Dallas County program with Carrier.
