Panorama-Panthers-Pic-300x175The Panorama School Board met Monday in regular session.

The Board discussed the 2018-2019 school calendar. The Board is considering a possible change in dates for spring vacation. The school traditionally gives students Good Friday and Easter Monday off as a four day weekend. However Board members would like to see if moving to a week-long spring break the second week of March would be more beneficial to students, parents, and staff. The Board set a public hearing on this, and other possible changes to the school calendar, for their next meeting on March 12th at 6:30pm.

The Board also set a public hearing for the amended fiscal year 2018 and proposed 2019 budgets. That hearing will be on April 9th at 6pm, before the regularly scheduled meeting. Other approved action items include: bond refinancing with Piper Jaffray, secondary and elementary student handbooks, and a 2018-2019 budget guarantee.
