The Guthrie County Supervisors met in regular budgeting session Thursday.
The Board began the meeting with a budget workshop. They fielded a possible budget amendment from the Sheriff’s Office to accommodate a part-time clerk position. The Sheriff’s Office proposed taking funds from vehicle maintenance and transferring them to the part-time clerk. However, the Board felt this request was made too close to the publication deadline, and no changes were approved.
The Board then officially approved the 5% increase in annual salaries and the 3% increase in employee contributions for health insurance. They also scheduled a public hearing on the proposed budget for Tuesday, March 6th at 10am in the public meeting room at the Guthrie County Courthouse.
