Friday, February 16th
4:02am: An officer located an Open Door on a shed at 907 West State Street. The homeowner checked and found nothing to be missing from inside.
4:42am: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at 204 West Harrison Street. Employee error was the cause of the activation and all was fine.
4:46am: Officers responded to a 911 Hang Up at 777 Wild Rose Lane. All was fine there and no one had called for assistance.
7:10am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 1000 Block of West Washington Street.
10:47am: Hy Vee reported a vehicle with Texas Registration has been sitting in their lot for two weeks. The officer checked and the vehicle is not reported stolen. Hy Vee is working to contact an owner to have it removed from the private property.
1:45pm: Officers assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of East Vest Street.
2:14pm: Jessica Duong spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Child Custody Issue occurring at 702 North Chestnut Street. She was advised to speak with an attorney.
5:40pm: Amanda Rumley spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Child Custody Issue occurring at 406 North West Street.
5:45pm: An officer responded to a Residential Burglary Alarm in the 1400 Block of West Wood Drive. All was fine at the residence.
5:45pm: An officer started an investigation into a reported Sexual Assault, which occurred in Jefferson on January 10th , 2018.
Saturday, February 17th
3:08am: Casey’s General Store reported a suspicious vehicle parked in their lot at 508 North Elm Street. The officer spoke to a subject in the vehicle, who moved the vehicle.
8:29am: Tanya Turner reported a stray Pitt Bull in her yard in the 800 Block of West Mahlon Street. The officer issued Ryan Brown of Jefferson a citation for, “Animal at Large Prohibited.”
10:41am: An officer located a Lab running freely near Park and Elm Streets. The officer located a number on the animal’s collar and contacted the owner to pick the animal up. The officer gave the owner a time period to get the animal licensed with the city.
11:24am: Jim Taylor reported a Criminal Mischief to posters occurring at 1409 North Elm Street. The officer was given the name of a suspect by Taylor. The officer learned that a crime had not occurred and the two were involved in an ongoing dispute between themselves. The officer advised both parties to end contact with the other.
12:31pm: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 100 Block of North Grimmell Road.
3:40pm: An officer arrested Paul Nelson, 43 of Jefferson, at 300 South Pinet Street on an outstanding Arrest Warrant for, Failing to Serve Time on “Disorderly Conduct – Simple.”
5:04pm: An officer was advised of a Careless Driver approaching Jefferson on 237th Street. The officer located the vehicle and initiated a Traffic Stop near Elm and 220th Street. The driver was given a Verbal Warning form the officer.
6:57pm: An officer arrested Rodney Blackmon, 22 of Jefferson, on an outstanding Greene County Arrest Warrant for, “Fail to Appear” on an original charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia charge.
8:38pm: The Wild Rose Casino requested an officer for a possible Fake ID at 777 Wild Rose Lane. The subject left the casino before the arrival of the officer.
9:23pm: Chad Louk reported a stolen car trailer form 600 North Elm Street. The trailer had been taken within the last month. The officer learned a deputy had located a trailer abandoned in the county on January 21st , 2017, and placed it in the Impound Lot. Louk provided proof of ownership and the trailer was released to him by a deputy.
10:25pm: Dennis Goshon reported kids ringing his doorbell and running from the area of the 300 Block of Rushview Drive.
10:50pm: An officer was called to 909 West Lincoln Way Street for a Domestic Situation occurring there. The officer arrived and made contact with a couple living at the residence. They advised of a verbal argument occurring between them. The officer did not observe any markings from a physical altercation and worked to diffuse the issues.
Sunday, February 18th
7:40am: An officer removed a cat from a live trap in the 300 Block of South Oak Street.
8:50am: An officer assisted EMS with a Medical Call in the 300 Block of East McKinley Street.
9:37am: Peter Bartelt reported following a possible intoxicated Driver on 220th Street, heading east towards Jefferson. The officer located the vehicle and performed a Traffic Stop in the 400 Block of East Monroe Street. Jackie D. Cram, 23 of Jefferson was arrested for, “Driving While Barred.”
10:15am: Ted Herrick requested an officer at 407 South Olive Street for an unwanted female knocking on the door. The officer assisted the female in gathering some personal documents before she left the area.
10:37am: An officer checked on a Business Alarm Activation at 1603 North Elm Street. All doors and windows were secure at the business.
Monday, February 19th
10:05am: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 400 Block f West Russell Street, resulting in Alysha Steece of Jefferson being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”
12:05pm: Brent Bast reported a Burglary to a shed at 203 East Perry Street. Bast was unsure if items were missing inside the shed. The officer is investigating.
12:14pm: A caller advised of a sheet of plywood in the road on Hwy. 4, just north of 220th Street. The officer removed it from the roadway.
2:45pm: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 700 Block of North Elm Street resulted in John Woodford of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”
5:16pm: A Traffic Stop was performed with a vehicle in the 400 Block of North Elm Street, resulting in Joanna Saxton of Somers being cited for, “Dark Windows.”
9:49pm: Jordan Durns spoke with an officer about a dog she purchased two weeks ago on Craig’s List. Durns advised the dog was not being nice. She was told to take the animal to a vet.
