Deadlines for two local grant opportunities have passed and one is nearing the end.
Grant applications for the Jefferson Rotary Club will be accepted through February 26th. Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation and Greene County Community Foundation are no longer accepting grant applications.
Rotary is expected to give away about $40,000 in grant funds this year. All money raised was through Rotary’s November banquet and auction event. Grants will be awarded throughout the year. Any non-profit organization may apply for grants. Projects and programs must benefit others in areas including: peace, conflict resolution and other social issues, fighting disease and promoting health, providing clean water/environmental issues, economic and community development and youth and education literacy.
Applications are available at the Greene County Chamber and Tourism office, Greene County Extension office, the Jefferson and Churdan Public libraries, Home State Bank and Peoples Trust and Savings Bank locations in the county, or by clicking the link below.
