WCV (1)The West Central Valley School Board will meet in regular session tonight.

Dexter Elementary will be the main focus of tonight’s discussion, as the Board will review possible changes and improvements to the facility. Currently, Superintendent Dr. David Arnold is also the principal at the elementary. However, there has been extensive discussion throughout the school year as to whether the next superintendent, Lance Ridgely, will take on the same two roles. The Board will also address parking issues. Arnold tells Raccoon Valley Radio that some of the teachers feel additional spaces would be beneficial, as the current lot is rather crowded. Additionally, the lot is often filled to capacity for the monthly Board meetings.

The Board will begin the meeting with a review of the annual audit report, and continued discussion on Athletic Director David Doely serving as the boys golf head coach. Other action items include: approval of the 2018-2019 school calendar, a request from the music department, continued discussion on technology conversion to Google Apps, and a union agreement with Union #177. The Board will also go into exempt session during the meeting to discuss collective bargaining.

The meeting begins at 7pm in the Dexter Elementary Library.
