A candidate meet and greet for governor will be held tonight.

Democratic candidate John Norris will be making another appearance in Jefferson from 5:30 to 7:30pm for an open house and fundraiser event at the Thomas Jefferson Gardens and Welcome Center. Norris was last in Jefferson on December 12th at the Greene County Extension office. Norris graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law. He went on to serve as State Director of the Iowa Farm Unity Coalition, Chair of the Iowa Democratic Party, Chair of the Iowa Utilities Board and Chief of Staff of the US Department of Agriculture.

The event is free and open to the public. Norris is slated to speak shortly after 6pm. There will be beverages and light refreshments served.
