The Greene County High School track & field programs are returning to the days of multiple indoor meets. Practice is underway under the direction of boys’ head coach Chad Morton and girls’ head coach Derek Merk. Both are in their first years in these positions, but both have coached the sport before at other schools.

Coach Morton talks about the indoor meets. “Indoor meets are kind of a sketchy thing because you have to have athletes that are ready to compete then. We’ll have three indoor meets, but we may not take everybody to the indoor meets because we’ll want to make sure the athletes are ready to compete at that time. An indoor meet can be kind of a glorified practice, or they can really provide some competition. They’re kind of a luxury to have to start the season.”
