Jefferson Matters: Main Street held a volunteer recognition party this past Wednesday.

JMMS Program Director Peg Raney says the event was held at Meythaler’s Photography. The theme was connected to the expected Smithsonian Institute’s traveling exhibit of Hometown Teams, featuring cheerleaders, Volunteer of the Year Awards for each of JMMS’s committees and the announcement of the 2017 Leadership Award winner. Raney says the recipient was Roger Aegerter.

“Roger has been involved in a number of areas: with our Tower View Team, but also just anytime we need some extra help on anything, he is just willing to jump up and take care of anything. So we really appreciate his work for us.”

Aegerter will get to attend a Main Street Iowa awards presentation in April.
