ACGC WrestlingThe majority of the Charger wrestling squad saw their seasons come to an end at the Class 1A Section 1 Tournament in Ogden last month. Among those Charger grapplers was the lone senior, Zach Fees.

Fees finished his career just six wins short of 100, concluding his high school campaign with a record of 94-74. The senior’s final season came to an end at the hands of the state’s eighth place finisher at 132 pounds, Panorama’s Wyatt Appleseth. Appleseth defeated Fees in the semifinal round by a 11-2 Major Decision. Fees wrestled back to the District qualifier match, but since Appleseth lost the final and defeated Fees previously, Fees’ career came to a halt by Rule.

Fees was a three-time District Qualifier, finishing in fourth place at 106, 113, and 120 pounds in his first three years. He wrestled his first two years for Guthrie Center, and his final two for ACGC.
