Hotel Pattee’s new owners have already begun to make an imprint in the area, as they recently made a $10,000 donation to the “Let’s Connect” project.

Tom Maxwell attended the recent Raccoon River Valley Trail Association’s annual banquet, where he presented a check to Dallas County Conservation Director Mike Wallace. The money will go toward the $5 million project to bridge the nine-mile gap between the Raccoon River Valley Trail in Perry and the High Trestle Trail in Woodward. The donation from Tom and Vickie Maxwell came as a welcome surprise to the attendees at the banquet, which was held Saturday at the West Des Moines Marriott Hotel.

The project is approximately 50% of the way to their goal. For more information, or to make a donation, click the link below.
