The Panorama High School girls basketball team will begin their run at a state championship later this morning. Here are some reminders if you want to catch the team in action.

If you plan to cheer on the Panthers in person, tip-off is scheduled for 11:45am at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. There are some new security measures at the arena for the tournament, including walk-through metal detectors. Cell phones, keys, and some wallets will need to be removed and placed in a bowl before walking through, similar to procedures at airports. Therefore, fans are encouraged to leave non-essential items at home, and allow for extra time. There will also be some limitations on size of bags allowed.

For those who can’t make it to the game in person, you’re in luck. We’ll be broadcasting the game live on KKRF and RaccoonValleyRadio.com, with pre-game coverage starting at 11:15am. We will continue to broadcast the games through the championship, should the Panthers advance that far.

 

Bag Limitations:

*No larger than 13″ X 15″ X 6″

*Diaper bags or medical bags are allowed to exceed the size limit, but will be searched

*All bags, purses, or personal items of any size are subject to search
