Jefferson City Council 2_27The Jefferson City Council met Tuesday night in regular session.

The Council approved the quarterly funding request as presented for Greene County Development Corporation, a fourth change order to Pinnacle Construction for $7,123 for the Community Development Block Grant project and renewing the City’s insurance policy with Unger Insurance with a reduction in premiums for the next fiscal year to $171,436. Additionally, the Council approved a in-kind contribution to waive a building permit fee for a Des Moines-based business called Pillar Technology at 204 and 206 East State Street for a grant application for the Iowa Economic Development Authority Community Catalyst Remediation Grant.

The Council then reviewed the quarterly financial report and a Jefferson Matters: Main Street quarterly meeting. The meeting ended in a budget workshop, with the public hearing is set for March 13th.
