Several Greene County and Paton-Churdan High School students have qualified for the Iowa High School Speech Association State Individual Speech Contest.
Greene County Speech Coach Kelley Gray says eight students qualified 11 events for the state competition. The students include: Josey Weaver, Regan and Kassi Lamoureux, Jordan Davis, Naomi Long, Arthur Bardole, Emma McColley and Natalie Payan. Davis, Bardole and Payan each qualified two events.
Paton-Churdan Speech Coach Stephanie Pace says two students qualified for the state contest, including: Megan Carey and Madi Minnehan. Carey qualified two events.
Students qualified for state by receiving a Division I-rating from the judge at the district competition. The state contest will be held at Nevada High School on March 10th. A full list of results can be found below.
